Jötnal exists for the books that don’t have an obvious shelf, a training log, a grammar reference, a way of counting you’ve never seen, a productivity book that tells you to do less. We don’t chase a single genre. We chase the manuscript that couldn’t find a home anywhere else.
Every title we take on has to clear one bar: could a reader find this anywhere but here? If the answer is yes, it’s probably not ours to publish.
Editorial Curation
Every manuscript is read against one question: does this exist anywhere else? If it does, we pass.
Translation & Rights
We work with translators to bring titles across languages without losing what made them worth publishing.
Author Partnerships
Long-term relationships over one-off deals, most of our authors publish with us more than once.
Archive Access
Out-of-print doesn’t mean gone. We keep our backlist findable, even the smallest print runs.
